~ PERFORMER ~
Nina Hand grew up in State College, Pa. and had a love of the Arts at an early age. At the age of seven, she began learning to play the piano and continued her music education with nine years of clarinet. Her opera training was at Pennsylvania State University and she received her BFA in Communication Arts/Broadcasting at Long Island University.
After the birth of her first child, Jennifer, Ms. Hand began singing professionally as a lead vocalist with various bands throughout the tri-state area. As a vocalist, she appeared at the Tropicana in Atlantic City, on the Intrepid in NYC for the Naval Academy and she opened for the Shirelles and Chiffons at the Newark Radisson.
Over the past ten years, Nina owned and directed the Theatre Players, which is a non-profit children’s theater based in Edison. She has produced numerous full-length Broadway musicals with hundreds of area youth.

We are personally excited about the Arts and the desire to infuse the surrounding community with that enthusiasm
thereby giving professional, non-professional and student artists’ public venues to expand their horizons in this area.
